The Knightsbridge 3-gang grid faceplate is a 148mm x 88mm anthracite screwless cover plate designed for use with the Knightsbridge modular grid system. Made from premium-grade steel with a dark grey anthracite powder-coated finish, the plate clips onto a separate grid sub-frame (GDS002F, sold separately) to create a flush installation with no visible fixings on the wall.

Designed for multi-switch installations in residential and commercial settings, the 3-gang grid system allows you to configure your own combination of switches, sockets, dimmers and data modules behind a single faceplate. The screwless design gives a cleaner appearance than traditional screw-fixed plates, with the cover plate removing easily for redecorating or future reconfiguration without disturbing the wiring or the sub-frame beneath.

The anthracite finish is a dark charcoal grey that sits between black and brushed steel in tone, pairing well with contemporary, industrial and monochrome interiors. The 3.5mm projection from the wall once fitted keeps the plate profile low, and the IP20 rating confirms suitability for dry indoor locations. What components are needed to complete the installation?

This faceplate requires a Knightsbridge GDS002F 3-gang grid sub-frame, which is sold separately. The sub-frame fixes to the back box and holds the individual grid modules (switches, sockets, dimmers). The faceplate then clips onto the front of the sub-frame to conceal the fixings.

Can I mix different switch types behind one faceplate?

Yes. The Knightsbridge grid system allows you to configure any combination of compatible grid modules behind a single faceplate, so you can combine light switches, dimmer modules, socket outlets, USB chargers and data modules to suit your layout.

Is the screwless plate removable for painting?

Yes. The anthracite cover plate clips onto the sub-frame and can be removed without tools for painting or decorating around the switch, then re-clipped once the wall is dry. The sub-frame and wiring remain undisturbed.
