Description
The Knightsbridge 24V 100W constant voltage DC driver converts 100-230V AC mains input to a regulated 24V DC output, delivering up to 100W maximum load capacity. The output voltage is adjustable via a trimmer potentiometer on the PCB, allowing fine-tuning to match specific LED strip or device requirements. The driver achieves 90% efficiency at full load, reducing heat generation and power waste compared to lower-efficiency alternatives.
Designed for permanent installation behind LED strip lighting, under-cabinet lighting, architectural accent lighting and 24V DC control systems, the driver requires housing within a suitable enclosure to maintain IP20 rating and protect internal components from dust and accidental contact. The aluminium and stainless steel construction provides heat dissipation across the perforated honeycomb grille on the top face, keeping internal temperatures stable under sustained load.
Built-in protection circuits guard against short circuit, overload and over-voltage conditions, automatically shutting down the driver if a fault is detected and preventing damage to connected LED strips or devices. The 129x97x30mm footprint fits within standard electrical enclosures and shallow ceiling voids, and the screw terminals on the rear accept wire gauges suitable for low-voltage DC distribution. The driver is not dimmable — pair it with non-dimming 24V LED strips or ensure any control system operates by switching rather than phase-cutting.

Frequently Asked
Does the driver need to be housed in an enclosure?
Yes. The IP20 rating means the driver is protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm but not against water ingress or accidental contact with live parts. It must be installed within a suitable enclosure to maintain safety and performance.
Can the output voltage be adjusted?
Yes. A trimmer potentiometer on the PCB allows the output voltage to be fine-tuned within a small range around the 24V nominal output. This is useful for matching specific LED strip voltage requirements or compensating for voltage drop over long cable runs.
Is the driver compatible with dimmer switches?
No. This is a non-dimmable constant voltage driver. If dimming is required, use a PWM dimmer controller between the driver output and the LED strip, or choose a dimmable driver model.
What protection features are built in?
The driver includes short circuit protection, overload protection and over-voltage protection. If any of these faults are detected, the driver shuts down automatically to prevent damage to itself and connected devices.
