Description

This LYYT connector set includes two plastic pin couplers and two heat-shrink sleeves for joining sections of 2-wire static colour LED rope light or rice bulb rope light. Each coupler uses four metal pins that pierce the rope light sheath to make contact with the internal conductors, creating a secure electrical connection between two cut lengths of rope.

The couplers are designed for indoor and covered outdoor installations where rope light sections need to be extended or repaired mid-run. Once the rope light ends are pushed onto the coupler pins, the heat-shrink sleeve slides over the join and contracts when heated with a heat gun or lighter flame, sealing the connection against moisture and accidental separation. The sleeves provide mechanical strain relief and water resistance when properly shrunk.

The kit suits standard 2-wire rope light with static colour output (single colour, non-chasing). Each coupler handles low-voltage DC or mains-voltage AC rope light depending on the rope type, but the voltage rating must match the rope being joined. For additional weatherproofing on outdoor installations, silicone sealant (product code 153.627UK, sold separately) can be applied inside the sleeve before shrinking to create a fully waterproof seal.
