This resin mantel clock captures two racehorses and their jockeys at full gallop as they sweep past the finish post, with the clock set high on the post inside a horseshoe. The whole piece wears a bronze effect finish, dark and rich, with warm copper tones catching the raised detail of the manes, tails, saddles and riders. The round dial is a soft cream with black Roman numerals and slim gold hands, which gives it a traditional look. It stands 31cm tall, 31cm across and 14cm deep, so it has real presence without crowding a shelf.

As a mantel clock it is at its best on the mantelpiece, where its width sits comfortably above a fireplace, but it is just as at home on a sideboard, a bookcase or a desk in a study.
