Description
The Knightsbridge 2-gang modular faceplate accepts two 25 x 50mm euro modules or a single 50 x 50mm euro module behind a gunmetal flat plate that sits 2.5mm from the wall. The faceplate provides a blank mounting surface for installing modular inserts such as HDMI sockets, coaxial TV outlets, RJ45 data ports, USB charging modules and telephone sockets, allowing custom AV and data configurations to be assembled on site.
Designed for residential, hospitality and commercial installations where AV, data and communication connections need to be integrated cleanly into walls, the faceplate works with Knightsbridge's range of euro module inserts. The flat profile suits modern and minimalist interiors where surface-mounted boxes or protruding faceplates would disrupt wall planes. The required back box depth depends on the specific euro modules being installed — see the module datasheets for mounting depth requirements.
The faceplate is constructed from premium-grade steel with a gunmetal powder-coated finish that provides a dark grey metallic surface tone. The flat plate design means the faceplate edge is flush with the wall once fitted, with no raised lip or border around the apertures. A built-in gasket compresses against the back box when the faceplate is secured, helping to reduce dust ingress and providing a cleaner appearance. The earth terminal allows the steel plate to be grounded where required by regulation.

Frequently Asked
What euro module sizes does it accept?
The faceplate accepts two 25 x 50mm euro modules side by side, or a single 50 x 50mm euro module. Knightsbridge produces a wide range of inserts including HDMI, coaxial TV, RJ45 data, USB charging, and telephone modules that fit this aperture size.
What back box depth is needed?
The required depth depends on the specific euro modules being installed. Most standard modules need a 25mm minimum back box, but some AV modules with deeper connector housings may require 35mm or 47mm boxes. Check the datasheet for the specific modules you plan to install.
Can the modules be changed after installation?
Yes. Euro modules clip into the faceplate apertures and can be removed and swapped without rewiring the back box, provided the replacement module uses the same cable termination. This allows AV and data configurations to be updated as technology changes.
Is the faceplate screwless?
No. The flat plate design is fixed to the back box with visible screws at the top and bottom of the faceplate. The screws are recessed into the gunmetal surface and use gunmetal-finished heads to minimise visual impact.
