The Knightsbridge 2-gang grid faceplate is an 87.5mm square polished chrome cover plate designed for use with the Knightsbridge Flat Plate modular grid system. The faceplate accepts two standard grid modules (sold separately) and provides a 3.5mm ultra-flat profile from the wall once fitted, making it one of the thinnest modular grid faceplates available in the Knightsbridge range.

Grid systems allow installers and specifiers to build custom switch and socket configurations by combining individual modules — dimmer switches, data outlets, TV sockets, USB ports — behind a single faceplate. This 2-gang grid faceplate requires one GDF001F frame module (sold separately) to hold the grid inserts in place. The system is commonly used in residential, hospitality and commercial installations where non-standard outlet combinations are needed or where a unified aesthetic across different socket types is required.

The polished chrome finish is applied to premium-grade steel, giving a reflective metallic surface that coordinates with the wider Knightsbridge Flat Plate switches and sockets range. This faceplate requires one GDF001F frame module (sold separately) to hold the grid inserts. You then add your choice of Knightsbridge grid modules — switches, dimmers, data outlets, USB sockets — up to a maximum of two modules for this 2-gang plate.

Is this compatible with standard back boxes?

Yes. The faceplate fits standard UK 25mm back boxes. The frame module (GDF001F) fixes to the back box lugs, and the polished chrome cover plate then clips onto the frame.
