The Knightsbridge plug is a rewireable 13A rough-use plug top in black with a screw cord grip, ready to take a BS 1362 fuse.

It is a rewireable 13A plug for fitting to flexible cable, with a screw cord grip and a tough body suited to tools, trailing leads and site use, supplied ready to take a BS 1362 fuse.

It is constructed from polypropylene, with an earth terminal for a compliant installation. It is certified to BS 1363-1 and IP20 rated for indoor use.

How do you wire a 13A plug?

The brown live goes to the fused terminal (L), the blue neutral to N, and the green/yellow earth to the longer E pin; the cord grip must clamp the outer sheath. Fit a fuse rated for the appliance. Installation should be carried out by a competent person in accordance with BS 7671.
