Description

The Knightsbridge 13A 3-way mains fused adaptor converts a single UK wall socket into three 13A-rated outlets, allowing three appliances or chargers to run from one point. The adaptor plugs directly into a standard UK socket and provides three female socket outlets on its faces — two on the front and one on the top. A replaceable 13A fuse sits inside the plug body, protecting all three outlets from overcurrent.

Designed for residential and office use where temporary additional sockets are needed without running extension leads, the adaptor suits desks, bedside tables, kitchen worktops and workshop benches. The cube-style body measures 62mm high, 50mm wide and 49mm deep when plugged in, so it occupies minimal space around the wall socket. The white ABS construction matches standard UK socket faceplates and keeps the adaptor lightweight at under 100g.

The adaptor is certified to BS 1363, the British standard for 13A plugs, sockets and adaptors. This certification confirms the internal wiring, contact materials and fuse holder meet UK safety requirements. The IP20 rating confirms the adaptor is suitable for dry indoor environments but not for bathrooms, outdoor use or environments where moisture is present. The adaptor is rated at 13A combined across all three outlets. This is a 3,120W maximum load shared between whatever is plugged in. Running three low-draw devices (phone chargers, laptops, lamps) is fine. Running three high-draw appliances (kettles, heaters, hair dryers) simultaneously will exceed the 13A limit and blow the fuse.

Can the fuse be replaced?

Yes. The plug body contains a standard UK 13A cartridge fuse accessible by opening the fuse holder in the plug. Replacement fuses are available at hardware stores and electrical retailers.

Is it safe to leave plugged in permanently?

The adaptor is designed for temporary use rather than as a permanent wiring solution. For permanent additional sockets, install a wall-mounted socket outlet or use a trailing socket extension with surge protection.
