Description

The Knightsbridge 13A 1-gang SP switched socket adds one USB-A and one USB-C fast-charge port behind a brushed chrome screwless faceplate with a black insert. The single-pole switching isolates the live line when the socket is switched off, and the USB ports deliver up to 18W on a single port or 20W total (5V DC, 4A shared) when both ports are used simultaneously.

Designed for residential, hospitality and commercial installation, the socket fits a standard 35mm minimum back box depth and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame. This means there are no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed, giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates. The 13A rating handles standard UK appliance loads up to 2,990W per outlet.

The brushed chrome finish provides a cool metallic accent that pairs well with contemporary, industrial and cooler-toned interiors. The black insert behind the chrome faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and gives a defined edge to each outlet aperture. The USB ports support PD (Power Delivery) and QC (Quick Charge) protocols, enabling rapid 0-50% charging in under 30 minutes for compatible smartphones. The socket includes built-in overload, overheat and over-current protection, and automatically switches to standard charging once a device battery crosses 70% to preserve long-term battery health.
