The Knightsbridge 13A 1-gang DP switched socket pairs a brushed chrome rounded-edge faceplate with a white insert behind the outlet aperture. The double-pole switch isolates both live and neutral lines when switched off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching for appliances that remain plugged in when not in use.

Designed for residential and light commercial installation, the socket fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth and projects 7.5mm from the wall once fitted. A 25mm minimum back box depth is needed for safe installation. The faceplate adds 7.5mm of projection from the wall once fitted.

What does DP switching mean?

DP stands for double-pole. When the switch is turned off, both the live and neutral conductors are isolated, providing additional safety compared to single-pole switching which only breaks the live conductor.

Is this a screwed or screwless faceplate?
