The Knightsbridge LFCON5FX is a strip-to-strip connector for 12mm RGBW LED flex, operating on 12V or 24V DC. The connector joins two separate RGBW LED strip sections with a 150mm cable bridge, maintaining power and control signals across five conductors (red, green, blue, white, and common). Each end features a black polycarbonate click-fit housing that grips the strip's copper contact pads without soldering or tools.

Designed for modular LED installations where strips need to bridge gaps, turn corners, or route around obstacles, the connector suits under-cabinet lighting, display cases, home cinema rooms, and commercial accent lighting. The 150mm cable length allows the strip to navigate around a worktop corner, pass behind a picture frame, or jump across a shelf bracket while keeping the LED run continuous. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations.

The polycarbonate housing measures 17mm wide by 7mm thick, sitting flush against surfaces where strips are mounted. The click-fit mechanism locks the strip in place with a tactile snap, and can be released by pressing the side tab if the run needs to be reconfigured. The five-conductor cable maintains separate control of red, green, blue, and white channels, so colour-changing effects programmed into an RGBW controller remain synchronised across the join.

Class III construction means the connector operates exclusively on extra-low voltage (12V/24V DC) supplied from a separate driver or controller, with no direct connection to mains voltage. The connector carries the current load of the LED strip sections it joins — ensure the total wattage of connected strips remains within the rated capacity of the upstream power supply and controller.

What width LED strip does this fit?

This connector is designed for 12mm-wide RGBW LED flex strips. It will not fit 8mm or 10mm strips, nor single-colour or RGB-only strips that have fewer than five conductors.

Can it be used outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector is not protected against moisture or dust ingress and must only be used in dry indoor locations. For outdoor or bathroom LED installations, use IP65 or IP67 rated connectors and strips.

Does it work with both 12V and 24V strips?

Yes. The connector carries the DC voltage from one strip section to another without regulating or transforming it, so it works equally with 12V or 24V RGBW LED flex. Ensure all components in the same run (strips, power supply, controller) operate at the same voltage.

Can the connection be undone and reused?

Yes. The click-fit mechanism can be released by pressing the side tab on each connector housing, allowing the strip to be removed and the connector to be repositioned or reused on a different strip section.
