Description

This 100mm DC linking cable connects two LED strip light sections operating at either 12V or 24V. Both ends terminate in barrel-style DC connectors that plug directly into the standard input/output sockets found on most 12V and 24V LED strip light runs, creating a bridge between two strip segments without needing to splice or solder cables.

Designed for tight installations where strip lights are positioned within 100mm of each other, such as corner joins in under-cabinet lighting, around internal shelf edges, or where strips wrap around a feature detail. The short cable length reduces cable clutter and visible slack, keeping the installation tidy where the cable run is on show or needs to fit within a narrow channel or profile.

The cable carries the same DC voltage present on the first strip section through to the second, maintaining consistent brightness across both segments. Each barrel connector is moulded onto the cable rather than crimped, reducing the risk of a poor connection under typical indoor installation conditions. The cable supports the full current draw of standard density LED strip lights without voltage drop over the 100mm run.

Frequently Asked

Is this compatible with all LED strip lights?

The cable works with LED strip lights that use standard barrel-style DC connectors. Most 12V and 24V strip lights sold for indoor use carry this connector type, but if your strip has bare wire ends or a proprietary connector you'll need to match the connector type or use a compatible adapter.

Can I use this outdoors?

The cable itself is not IP-rated. If you're linking outdoor-rated IP65 or IP67 strip lights, the exposed connectors at each end would compromise the IP rating unless they're housed inside a waterproof enclosure or junction box.

Does it matter which end connects to which strip?

DC current flows in one direction, so you need to connect the cable between the output socket of the first strip and the input socket of the second strip. Reversing the connection won't damage the cable but the second strip won't light.

What current does the cable support?

The cable supports the typical current draw of standard density LED strip lights (around 4.8W per metre for most 12V single-colour strips). Over the 100mm cable length there's no measurable voltage drop, so brightness remains consistent between the two strip sections.
