Description

This 1000mm DC linking lead connects two sections of 12V or 24V LED strip lighting with male barrel connectors at each end. The lead allows continuous runs of strip lighting across gaps, around corners, or between separate mounting surfaces without needing to splice additional power supplies into the circuit.

Designed for under-cabinet lighting, shelving installations, display cases and architectural feature lighting where LED strip runs need to bridge a physical gap of up to 1m, the lead maintains consistent voltage across both connected sections. The flexible black cable routes behind fixtures, through channels or around obstacles without creating visible slack or requiring additional cable management accessories.

The barrel connectors fit standard DC input ports on most 12V and 24V LED strip lights and controllers. The 1000mm length suits typical distances between kitchen wall cabinets and island units, between display shelving units, or across doorway openings in commercial retail installations. The lead carries low-voltage DC current only and does not require Part P certification for DIY installation in domestic properties.

Frequently Asked

What connector type does this lead use?

The lead uses standard male DC barrel connectors at both ends, compatible with most 12V and 24V LED strip lights and controllers. Check your existing strip connectors before ordering to confirm compatibility.

Can this be used with both 12V and 24V strip lights?

Yes. The lead is rated for both 12V and 24V DC circuits. The voltage is determined by your power supply, not the linking lead itself. Do not mix 12V and 24V strips on the same circuit.

Does the length affect brightness or performance?

At 1000mm, voltage drop is negligible for typical LED strip installations. If you're running very high-wattage strips or chaining multiple linking leads together, consider adding a separate power injection point to maintain consistent brightness across the full run.

Is this suitable for outdoor use?

The lead itself has no IP rating and is designed for indoor dry-location use. If connecting outdoor-rated IP65 or IP67 LED strips, the linking lead should be positioned in a protected location such as inside a sealed enclosure or weatherproof junction box.
