Description
The Knightsbridge 10AX 2-gang 2-way toggle switch pairs a brushed brass flat plate with two matching metal toggles in the same finish. The plate sits just 2.5mm proud of the wall once installed, giving an ultra-low profile that minimises shadow lines and projection. Each toggle controls a separate lighting circuit with two-way switching, allowing the same light to be controlled from two different switch positions.
Designed for rooms with dual entry points such as through-lounges, hallways, staircases and landing corridors, the 2-way configuration lets the same light be switched on or off from either location. The 10AX rating handles lighting loads up to 2,300W per gang on 230V mains, covering LED, halogen and incandescent circuits. The switch fits a shallow 16mm minimum back box depth, making it suitable for retrofit into stud walls and dry-lining where back box depth is limited.
The brushed brass finish offers a warm metallic accent with a directional grain that diffuses reflections under room lighting. The premium-grade steel construction includes an integrated gasket behind the plate to prevent dust and moisture ingress at IP20 rating. The matching brass toggles move with positive detent action, giving tactile feedback when switching. Certified to EN 60669-1 and backed by a 25-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
What does 2-way switching mean?
2-way switching allows the same light to be controlled from two different switch positions, such as at either end of a hallway or at the top and bottom of a staircase. You need two 2-way switches wired together to create this configuration.
What back box depth is required?
A 16mm minimum back box depth is needed. The ultra-flat plate design allows installation in shallow back boxes commonly found in stud walls and dry-lining where deeper metal boxes cannot fit.
What lighting load can each gang handle?
Each gang is rated at 10AX, which handles up to 2,300W per circuit on 230V mains. This covers typical residential lighting loads including LED, halogen and incandescent bulbs.
How is the brushed brass cleaned?
Wipe with a dry or barely-damp microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, chemical sprays or polishes, as these can strip the brushed finish or leave residue in the directional grain.
