Description

The Knightsbridge SN1000DPK is a 10AX 1-gang double-pole key switch designed specifically for emergency lighting testing, with the faceplate clearly marked 'EMG LTG TEST'. The key-operated mechanism restricts access to authorised personnel, preventing accidental activation during normal operation. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the key is turned, simulating a mains power failure to test emergency lighting circuits without cutting power to the entire building.

Designed for commercial, educational and institutional buildings where emergency lighting must be tested regularly under UK building regulations, the switch is typically mounted in electrical cupboards, service corridors or maintenance areas accessible only to facilities staff. The 16mm minimum back box depth allows installation in shallow wall voids where deeper boxes cannot be fitted.
