Description

The Knightsbridge 10A fan isolator module is a triple-pole switching insert designed to fit grid mounting frames (sold separately). The module controls bathroom extractor fans, kitchen extract fans and utility room ventilation, providing a dedicated isolator that cuts power to the fan circuit independently of lighting circuits. The triple-pole design breaks live, neutral and switched-live connections when the switch is moved to the OFF position.

Designed for installation in UK residential bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms, the module clips into Knightsbridge grid frames from the front once the frame is fixed to the wall. This front-loading method allows multiple modules to be combined in a single plate without removing the frame or re-wiring. The 25mm minimum back box depth suits standard UK wiring installations, and the IP20 rating confirms safe use in Zone 3 bathroom areas (more than 600mm from the bath or shower edge).

The brushed chrome faceplate has a linear grain finish that softens reflections and pairs with both contemporary and industrial interiors. The rocker switch is engraved with OFF/ON and 'FAN isolator' text for clear identification. The module is rated for 10A at 230V 50Hz, which covers all standard domestic fan loads, and carries a conditional short circuit current rating of 1500A (Inc) for compliance with wiring regulations.
