The Knightsbridge 1 gang modular faceplate is a single-aperture plate in polished brass that accepts euro module inserts for custom AV, data and telecoms installations. The central aperture measures 50mm x 25mm and accommodates standard modular inserts including HDMI, coaxial TV, RJ45 ethernet, USB charging, 3.5mm audio, RCA phono and telephone sockets, allowing the plate to be configured to the exact connection requirements of a media wall, home office or bedside setup.

Designed for residential and commercial use, the faceplate is most commonly installed behind wall-mounted TVs, in home cinema equipment racks, on office desking panels and in hotel rooms where multiple connection types need to be grouped in a single outlet. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to a standard 25mm back box, giving a clean front surface with no visible fixings. The polished brass finish provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with traditional, classical and warm-toned contemporary interiors.

The 87.5mm square plate is constructed from 201 stainless steel with an electroplated polished brass coating, giving a reflective gold tone that develops a patina over time in high-humidity environments. The rounded corners soften the profile and reduce the visual impact against painted walls. The built-in gasket compresses against the wall surface when the cover plate is fitted, reducing dust ingress and giving a tighter finish. What inserts does this faceplate accept?

The central aperture accepts standard euro module inserts measuring 50mm x 25mm. This includes HDMI, coaxial TV, RJ45 ethernet, USB charging, 3.5mm audio, RCA phono and telephone sockets. Inserts are sold separately and clip into the aperture from the front after the faceplate is installed.

What back box depth is required?

A standard 25mm single-gang back box is required. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame that mounts to the back box lugs.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The polished brass cover plate clips onto a metal sub-frame and can be removed without disconnecting the module inserts or rewiring. This allows for painting around the faceplate and refitting afterwards.

Can this be used in bathrooms or kitchens?

The IP20 rating means this faceplate is suitable for indoor dry locations only. It should not be installed in zones 1 or 2 of a bathroom or in areas subject to direct water spray. For kitchens away from sinks and splashbacks, IP20 is acceptable under UK wiring regulations.
