Description
The Knightsbridge 1 gang modular faceplate accepts a single 25 x 50mm euro module insert behind an anthracite curved-edge plate meeting Building Regulations Part M compliance. The anthracite finish carries a Light Reflectance Value (LRV) of approximately 8.9, creating the required visual contrast between plate, insert and wall for accessible installations in commercial, public and residential settings.
Designed for modular AV, data and communications installations, the faceplate houses euro module inserts including HDMI, USB, coax TV/SAT, CAT6 data, audio jacks and similar modular connectors. This allows custom wall plate configurations to be built using standard euro modules rather than fixed multi-port plates. The 86 x 86mm footprint fits standard UK single-gang back boxes with a 7mm projection from the wall once installed.
The plate is moulded from thermoset resin with inherent anti-microbial properties verified to ISO 22196:2011, reducing bacterial surface growth in healthcare, hospitality and high-traffic environments. The curved edge styling softens the visual appearance compared to flat-edge plates and the anthracite finish coordinates with darker contemporary interiors and commercial fitouts. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor use and the plate carries a 25-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
What is a euro module and what inserts are compatible?
A euro module is a standardised 25 x 50mm modular insert that clips into faceplates like this one. Compatible inserts include HDMI, USB, coax TV/SAT, CAT6 data, 3.5mm audio jacks, BNC connectors and phone sockets. Euro modules are sold separately and allow custom AV/data wall plates to be built to suit the exact ports needed.
What does Part M compliance mean?
Building Regulations Part M sets accessibility standards for UK buildings. This faceplate meets Part M by providing a Light Reflectance Value (LRV) of approximately 8.9, creating sufficient visual contrast against lighter walls and white module inserts to aid visibility for users with impaired vision.
What back box depth is required?
The faceplate fits standard UK single-gang 25mm minimum back boxes. The 7mm projection from the wall means the finished installation sits approximately 32mm proud of the wall surface once the euro module insert is clipped in.
Can this be used in bathrooms or outdoors?
The IP20 rating means the faceplate is suitable for dry indoor use only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, shower rooms or outdoor locations where moisture exposure occurs.
