The Knightsbridge 1-gang grid faceplate is an 87.5mm square brushed chrome cover plate designed to hold one GDF001F grid module (sold separately). The plate forms part of Knightsbridge's modular grid system, which allows switches, sockets, dimmers and data outlets to be configured into custom combinations rather than fixed factory layouts.

The grid system suits commercial installations, retrofit projects where existing wall boxes limit placement options, and residential settings where non-standard switch/socket combinations are needed. The faceplate accepts one grid module in the centre aperture and clips onto a separate mounting frame fixed to the back box. The module is then clipped into the faceplate from the front, making installation and future reconfiguration possible without re-wiring.

The brushed chrome finish matches the wider Knightsbridge Flat Plate range, allowing grid faceplates to sit alongside standard switches and sockets with consistent visual language. The steel construction provides a 3.5mm ultra-flat profile that projects minimally from the wall once fitted. The plate carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for dry internal locations.
