Description

This Knightsbridge pendant set pairs a polished chrome ceiling rose with a knurled E27 lamp holder suspended on a 1.8m silver fabric-covered flex. The lamp holder features diamond-cut knurling on the upper and lower sections, exposed polished chrome metalwork between them, and a visible cable grip at the top. The ceiling rose is pre-wired, so installation involves connecting to existing ceiling wiring and fixing the rose to the ceiling.

Designed as a kit for exposed-bulb pendant installations or pairing with a separate shade, the set suits kitchens, dining rooms and utility areas where a simple drop pendant is needed. The 1.8m flex length allows the pendant to be shortened during installation by coiling excess cable inside the ceiling rose, so the final drop can be adjusted to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m. The E27 base accepts any standard Edison screw LED or filament bulb up to 60W.

The polished chrome finish gives high reflectivity under natural and artificial light, pairing cleanly with stainless steel appliances, chrome taps and contemporary kitchens. The lamp holder accepts shades with a 42mm internal ring diameter, allowing the bare pendant to be fitted with a drum shade, cone shade or other standard pendant shade format. The premium-grade steel construction and Class II double-insulated rating remove the need for an earth connection to the lamp holder itself, though the ceiling rose includes an earth terminal for connection to the mains circuit.

Does it come with a bulb?

No. The pendant accepts any E27 Edison screw bulb up to 60W, sold separately. Most users pair it with a 6-8W LED filament bulb at 2700K for a warm vintage look.

Can the cable length be shortened?

Yes. The 1.8m flex can be shortened during installation by coiling excess cable inside the ceiling rose. This allows the final drop to be adjusted to suit different ceiling heights without cutting the cable.

What shade fitting does it accept?

The lamp holder accepts pendant shades with a 42mm internal ring diameter. This is the standard UK pendant shade fitting size for drum shades, cone shades and similar formats.

Is it suitable for bathroom use?

No. The IP20 rating means it is only suitable for dry interior locations. For bathrooms, a pendant with at least IP44 rating is required in zones 1 and 2.
