The Knightsbridge 1.8m ES vintage pendant set is a pre-wired E27 lamp holder in matt white powder-coated steel, suspended on a white braided flex from a matching ceiling rose. The metal lamp holder features knurled detailing on the collar and sleeve, referencing vintage industrial fittings while maintaining a clean minimalist appearance.

Designed for kitchens, dining areas and living spaces where a bare bulb or shaded pendant is needed, the 1.8m drop is adjustable on installation to suit ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The E27 fitting accepts standard Edison screw LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W (bulb sold separately), and the lamp holder accepts shades with a 42mm internal ring diameter. The Class II double-insulated construction means no earth connection is required, simplifying installation where older ceiling wiring lacks an earth.

The matt white finish pairs cleanly with Scandinavian, modern farmhouse and contemporary minimalist interiors. The knurled metalwork on the lamp holder provides a tactile contrast to the smooth powder coat and gives the fitting enough visual weight to work as a bare-bulb pendant without appearing overly plain. The premium-grade steel construction and BS EN 60598 certification meet UK wiring regulations for residential, hospitality and commercial installation.

Does it come with a bulb?

No, the bulb is sold separately. The E27 fitting accepts any standard Edison screw LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2700K for ambient kitchen or dining lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb you choose. If you fit a dimmable LED or halogen bulb and connect the pendant to a compatible dimmer switch, the light will dim. The pendant holder itself does not restrict dimming.

Can I add a lampshade?

Yes. The lamp holder accepts shades with a 42mm internal ring diameter. The shade slips over the lamp holder and sits on the shoulder below the knurled collar, held in place by the bulb when fitted.

How is the drop adjusted?

The 1.8m braided flex runs from the ceiling rose to the lamp holder. On installation the excess flex is looped inside the ceiling rose cavity, allowing the visible drop to be set anywhere from approximately 400mm to the full 1.8m depending on ceiling height and preference.
