Description

The Knightsbridge 1.8m ES Vintage Pendant Set is a pre-wired E27 pendant holder with a matt black finish, knurled metal lampholder and matching ceiling rose. The set comes ready to install with 1.8m of textile-covered flex connecting the lampholder to a ceiling rose that fits standard UK ceiling fixing points. The E27 lampholder accepts any standard Edison screw bulb up to 60W (bulb sold separately).

Designed for pendant installations over dining tables, kitchen islands, bedside positions or anywhere a bare-bulb or shaded pendant is needed without running new wiring. The 1.8m drop suits ceiling heights from 2.4m to 3m, with the flex length allowing the pendant to be positioned 700-1000mm above a surface depending on installation preference. The lampholder accepts shades with a 42mm internal ring diameter, giving compatibility with most UK pendant shades.

The matt black finish on both the lampholder and ceiling rose provides a low-sheen industrial aesthetic that pairs with exposed filament bulbs, metal shades and contemporary interiors. The knurled grip detail on the lampholder body adds texture and makes fitting or removing shades easier. The premium-grade steel construction and Class II double-insulated design mean no earth connection is required during installation, simplifying fitting for competent DIY installers.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant set takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K for a vintage aesthetic, or with a globe or Edison-style decorative bulb.

Is it compatible with pendant shades?

Yes. The lampholder accepts shades with a 42mm internal ring diameter, which covers most UK pendant shades including fabric, metal and glass designs. The shade slips over the lampholder and is secured by the lampring when the bulb is screwed in.

Can the flex length be shortened?

The 1.8m flex is fixed between the lampholder and ceiling rose. It cannot be shortened without cutting and re-terminating the cable, which would void the warranty and require competent electrical work. For shorter drops, excess flex can be looped within the ceiling rose housing before installation.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb used. The pendant set itself is compatible with dimmable circuits, but the bulb must be rated as dimmable. Standard LED bulbs are often non-dimmable unless specified otherwise on the bulb packaging.
