Description

The Knightsbridge 1.8m ES Vintage Pendant Set provides a pre-wired E27 lampholder on a fabric-covered flex cable, suspended from a brushed chrome ceiling rose. The lampholder itself is brushed chrome with a knurled collar design, and the 1.8m drop gives flexibility for installation over dining tables, kitchen islands, or in rooms with higher ceilings.

Designed for quick installation, the set arrives with the lampholder already wired to the ceiling rose, so fitting involves connecting to existing ceiling wiring and securing the rose to a standard UK ceiling fixing point. The E27 base accepts standard Edison screw bulbs up to 60W, giving freedom to choose between warm filament-style LEDs, clear glass bulbs, or opal bulbs depending on the look required. The lampholder also accepts lampshades with a 42mm internal ring diameter, allowing the bare-bulb look to be softened with fabric or metal shades.

The brushed chrome finish on the metalwork provides a mid-tone neutral that pairs with stainless steel appliances, polished nickel fixtures, and both warm and cool colour schemes. The pendant is rated Class II (double-insulated) and IP20, making it suitable for dry indoor locations. The fabric flex is silver-grey to match the chrome finish. At 51.5mm diameter the ceiling rose is compact enough to sit flush on most ceilings without overwhelming smaller rooms.

Does it come with a bulb?

No. The pendant accepts any E27 Edison screw bulb up to 60W. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W for a vintage look.

Can I fit a lampshade to it?

Yes. The lampholder accepts lampshades with a 42mm internal ring diameter. The shade slips over the lampholder and sits on the knurled collar.

Is the cable length adjustable?

The 1.8m drop is fixed. If a shorter drop is needed, excess cable can be coiled inside the ceiling rose during installation, but this requires disconnecting the lampholder and re-terminating the cable.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb fitted. If you fit a dimmable LED or halogen bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch, the pendant will dim. The lampholder itself does not restrict dimming.
