Description

The Knightsbridge 1.8m ES vintage pendant set provides a black nickel lampholder on a pre-wired cable assembly with ceiling rose, designed for quick installation of exposed-bulb or shaded pendant lighting. The E27 lampholder accepts standard Edison screw bulbs up to 60W and the knurled metal holder gives an industrial aesthetic borrowed from early 20th-century factory lighting.

Designed for kitchens, dining areas, hallways and bedrooms where a simple pendant drop is needed, the 1.8m cable allows flexibility in setting the final drop height during installation — the cable can be shortened or looped within the ceiling rose to suit rooms with ceiling heights from 2.3m upwards. The black nickel finish on the metalwork reads darker than polished chrome or brushed steel, pairing comfortably with matt black fittings, graphite fixtures and darker joinery.

The lampholder is built from premium-grade steel with Class II double-insulated construction, meaning no earth connection to the lampholder body is required (though an earth terminal is provided at the ceiling rose for safe earthing of the circuit). The knurled sections on the holder body are functional grips for hand-tightening the shade ring or bulb, not just decorative detail. The pendant accepts any lampshade with a 42mm internal ring diameter, or can be used as an exposed-bulb fitting with decorative filament lamps.

Is the bulb included?

No. The pendant set accepts any E27 bulb up to 60W. Most users pair this with a decorative filament LED between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K for a warm vintage aesthetic, or a clear glass LED for exposed-bulb installations.

Can I use a lampshade with this pendant?

Yes. The holder accepts any lampshade with a 42mm internal ring diameter. The shade ring screws onto the threaded section of the lampholder below the bulb.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb you fit. If you install a dimmable LED or halogen E27 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch, the pendant will dim. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim regardless of the switch.

How do I adjust the drop height?

The 1.8m cable can be shortened during installation by looping excess cable within the ceiling rose before fitting the rose cover. This allows the pendant to be set at any drop height from approximately 300mm to the full 1800mm depending on your ceiling height and preferred position.
