Description

This Knightsbridge pendant set combines a 40mm polished chrome ceiling rose with a cylindrical polished chrome E27 lampholder suspended on 1.8m of silver textile-covered flex. The entire assembly is pre-wired to UK 230V mains standards, ready to connect to a ceiling junction box or existing pendant hook.

Designed for kitchens, hallways, dining areas and bedroom task lighting, the 1.8m drop suits standard 2.4m ceiling heights, typically positioning the bulb 600-800mm above a worktop or dining table. The flex can be shortened during installation by coiling excess inside the ceiling rose, allowing the pendant to be adjusted to suit lower ceilings or closer-to-ceiling positions. The E27 lampholder accepts standard Edison screw bulbs up to 60W, including LED filament bulbs, compact fluorescents and traditional incandescent bulbs where preferred.

The polished chrome finish on both the ceiling rose and lampholder provides a reflective metallic accent that pairs with modern, contemporary and industrial interiors. The textile-covered flex is rated IP20 for dry indoor use and the steel construction carries Class II double-insulated protection, meaning no earth connection is required during installation. The set is certified to BS EN 60598 standards and carries a 3-year warranty.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with an LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2700K for a warm decorative glow.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

Yes. The 1.8m flex can be shortened during installation by coiling excess cable inside the ceiling rose, allowing the pendant to hang at the required height for your ceiling and application.

Is the pendant dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb you fit. The pendant set itself is compatible with dimmable circuits, but you must use a dimmable LED or halogen bulb for dimming to function.

Does it require an earth connection?

No. The pendant is Class II double-insulated, meaning it does not require an earth connection during installation. However, an earth terminal is provided on the ceiling rose for installations where circuit regulations require it.
