Description

The Knightsbridge 1.8m ES pendant set pairs a 40mm diameter metal lampholder in an antique brass finish with a black fabric-covered cable and a matching ceiling rose. The pendant comes pre-wired and ready to connect to standard UK ceiling wiring, accepting any E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for kitchens, dining tables, breakfast bars and bedside pendants, the 1.8m drop allows the fitting to be positioned 600-900mm above a worktop or table surface depending on ceiling height. The cable can be shortened during installation by an electrician if a shorter drop is needed. The E27 lampholder accepts standard Edison screw bulbs including LED filament, globe, squirrel-cage and other decorative bulb shapes.

The antique brass finish on the lampholder and ceiling rose is a brushed, slightly aged brass tone that pairs with both warm traditional interiors and industrial-style spaces. The premium-grade steel construction is rated Class II (double-insulated) and carries IP20 protection, making it suitable for dry indoor locations. An earth terminal is provided on the ceiling rose for installations where earthing is required by local regulations.

Is the cable length adjustable?

Yes. The 1.8m cable can be shortened during installation by an electrician to suit lower ceiling heights or to create a shorter drop above a table or worktop. The excess cable is typically coiled inside the ceiling rose void.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with an LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K to achieve a warm vintage look that complements the antique brass finish.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb you choose. If you fit a dimmable LED or halogen E27 bulb, the pendant can be dimmed using a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

Does it need to be earthed?

The pendant is rated Class II (double-insulated), so earthing is not required for the fitting to operate safely. However, an earth terminal is provided on the ceiling rose for installations where local wiring regulations or existing ceiling wiring require an earth connection to be made.
