Description

The Knightsbridge 1.8m vintage pendant set pairs an antique brass ceiling rose with a knurled metal E27 lampholder on a black fabric-covered flex. The pendant is pre-wired and ready to install, requiring only connection to the mains supply at the ceiling rose and the fitting of a bulb and shade at the lampholder end. The antique brass finish has a warm, aged patina that suits traditional, industrial and period-style interiors.

Designed for kitchens, dining rooms and living spaces where a pendant needs to drop 600-1500mm below the ceiling, the 1.8m flex length can be adjusted during installation by shortening the cable run inside the ceiling rose. The E27 lampholder accepts standard Edison screw bulbs up to 60W and is T2-rated for both LED and incandescent types. The pendant is compatible with lampshades that have a 42mm internal ring diameter, giving flexibility to pair the hardware with fabric, metal or glass shades.

The lampholder body is premium-grade steel with knurled detailing that gives grip when screwing bulbs in and out. The black fabric flex contrasts with the antique brass metalwork and conceals the cable run between the ceiling rose and the lampholder. Class II double-insulated construction means no earth connection is required at the lampholder, though an earth terminal is provided at the ceiling rose for compatibility with earthed lighting circuits. IP20-rated for dry indoor use only.

What shade fitting does this take?

The pendant is compatible with lampshades that have a 42mm internal ring diameter. The shade slips over the lampholder body and is secured with the shade ring that screws onto the E27 thread before the bulb is fitted.

Can the cable length be shortened?

Yes. The 1.8m flex is the maximum drop. During installation the excess cable can be shortened and tucked into the ceiling rose to give any drop length between approximately 300mm and 1800mm depending on the ceiling height and desired pendant position.

Is a bulb included?

No. The pendant takes any standard E27 Edison screw bulb up to 60W. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K for a vintage look.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb fitted. If you fit a dimmable LED or halogen E27 bulb and connect the pendant to a compatible dimmer switch, the light output will dim. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.
