Description

The Knightsbridge 1.8m E27 track pendant is a single-bulb drop fitting designed to connect directly into Knightsbridge TRKxx series track lighting systems. The pendant comprises a matt black steel cylinder holder with a polycarbonate lampholder insert, suspended on a 1.8m fabric-covered drop cable that attaches to the track via a pre-wired adaptor head.

Designed for kitchens, dining tables, breakfast bars and commercial retail or hospitality installations where track-mounted task lighting is needed, the 1.8m drop allows the pendant to be positioned lower over worktops or tables without needing to shorten the cable during installation. The adaptor head clips into the powered track rail and can be repositioned along the track length without re-wiring, giving layout flexibility during installation and after.

The matt black finish on the steel cylinder and fabric cable pairs cleanly with both the black and white variants of Knightsbridge's TRKxx track system. The pendant accepts any standard E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately), allowing control over the light colour temperature, brightness and whether the installation uses visible-filament decorative bulbs or standard LED bulbs. The Class I earthing requires the track system itself to be earthed during installation.

The 40mm diameter cylinder holder is compact enough to be used in multiples along a single track run without visual clutter, making the fitting suitable for gallery-style lighting over kitchen islands or retail display installations where multiple pendants are needed at staggered heights or positions.

What track system is this compatible with?

The pendant is pre-wired for Knightsbridge TRKxx series track lighting systems. The adaptor head clips directly into the powered track rail and can be repositioned along the track without re-wiring.

Can the cable length be shortened?

The 1.8m drop is factory-set and pre-wired to the adaptor. Shortening the cable requires cutting and re-terminating, which should be done by a qualified electrician if a shorter drop is needed.

What bulb should I use?

The pendant accepts any standard E27 bulb up to 60W. Most installations use LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for warm white task light, or visible-filament decorative bulbs where the bulb itself contributes to the design.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb fitted. If you use a dimmable LED or halogen bulb, the pendant will dim provided the track system is wired through a compatible dimmer switch.
