Description

The Knightsbridge 1.8m E27 pendant set is a pre-wired pendant holder with a matt white ceiling rose, fabric-covered flex and a cylindrical E27 lamp holder. The 40mm ceiling rose fits standard UK ceiling fixings, and the pre-wired configuration removes the need to strip and terminate cable during installation. The pendant accepts any standard E27 bulb up to 60W (bulb sold separately).

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, bedside positions and hallway drops where a simple pendant fitting is needed without a shade, the 1.8m drop suits ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m when the bulb is to hang 700-900mm above a surface. The matt white finish pairs cleanly with white or neutral ceilings and suits minimal, Scandinavian and contemporary interiors. The Class II double-insulated construction means no earth connection is required at the ceiling rose, simplifying installation in older properties without earth provision.

The E27 lamp holder is constructed from premium-grade steel with a matt white powder-coat finish that resists yellowing and wear. The fabric-covered flex runs the full 1.8m drop and conceals the internal copper conductor. The pendant is IP20 rated for indoor dry locations only. Dimmability depends on the bulb fitted — pair with a dimmable LED or filament bulb and a compatible dimmer switch for adjustable light output.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W LED filament bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient or task lighting over a dining table or kitchen island.

Is it pre-wired or do I need to wire it myself?

The pendant is pre-wired from ceiling rose to lamp holder, with the fabric flex already terminated at both ends. You connect the pendant to your ceiling supply at the rose using the provided terminal block, which accepts cable up to 1.5mm².

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb fitted. Pair with a dimmable LED or filament bulb and a compatible dimmer switch to achieve adjustable light output. The pendant holder itself has no electronics that would prevent dimming.

What does Class II mean?

Class II indicates double-insulated construction, meaning the pendant does not require an earth connection at the ceiling rose for safe operation. This simplifies installation in older properties without earth provision, though an earth terminal is included if your ceiling supply has one available.
