Description

The Knightsbridge LEDM08WW1 is a 1.7W LED recessed ground light with a 316 stainless steel bezel and an integrated warm white LED delivering 95 lumens at 3000K. The fitting sits just 5mm proud of the installation surface when fitted, with a 110mm diameter bezel and a 47mm recessed depth beneath the surface. The opal diffuser spreads light in a 105-degree beam angle, providing subtle path or deck illumination without glare.

Designed for outdoor decking, pathways, patios and driveways, the light carries an IP65 rating for protection against water jets and dust ingress, making it suitable for wet exterior areas year-round. The fitting is rated to support vehicles up to 1000kg at 5mph, allowing installation in domestic driveways where occasional slow vehicle passage occurs. It can also be installed in interior floors, walls and staircases where low-profile recessed lighting is needed.

The housing is constructed from die-cast aluminium with a 316 marine-grade stainless steel bezel, offering corrosion resistance in coastal and high-moisture environments. An optional thermoplastic sleeve is included to protect the fitting during installation and provide additional thermal insulation. The light is supplied pre-wired with 2.5m of outdoor-rated flex, terminating in a connector that can be wired to mains supply or a multi-drop outdoor lighting circuit. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and rated for 60,000 hours at L70B50.

What cut-out size is needed for installation?

A 90mm diameter cut-out is required when installing without the thermoplastic sleeve. If using the optional sleeve (recommended for thermal protection), the cut-out diameter increases to 97mm. The recessed depth beneath the surface is 47mm.

Can this be driven over?

Yes. The fitting is rated to support vehicles up to 1000kg at speeds up to 5mph, making it suitable for domestic driveways where occasional slow vehicle passage occurs. It is not rated for high-speed or heavy commercial vehicle traffic.

Is the LED dimmable?

No. The integrated 1.7W LED is non-dimmable and operates at fixed output on 230V mains supply.

What's the difference between 3000K and other colour temperatures?

3000K is warm white, similar to the colour of a traditional halogen bulb. It provides a softer, warmer tone compared to 4000K (neutral white) or 6000K (cool white), making it better suited to residential pathways and decking where a welcoming light is preferred over clinical brightness.
