Description
This vintage table lamp is a turned wooden base with the soft, worn look of an old candlestick. A slim neck rises above a rounded baluster and a stepped, flared foot, and the whole body wears a taupe patina brushed through with chalky white, so every turned ridge catches the eye. It stands 30cm tall and 10cm in diameter, a compact size that sits comfortably on a bedside table or a narrow shelf. A white lampholder at the top takes an E14 bulb of up to 40W; the bulb is not included, so you choose the warmth of light yourself. The IP20 rating settles where it lives: indoors, in a dry room.
We think it suits a bedroom, a guest room or a cosy corner where a weathered, lived-in finish feels at home, and it sits naturally in farmhouse and cottage-style rooms. The muted taupe works with soft greys, creams and natural linen, and it gives a modern room a gentle note of age without looking fussy. Because it is small and light, it moves easily from a bedside table to a hall console or a dressing table, and a pair either side of a bed looks balanced and deliberate.
The body is wood, given a taupe patina that is distressed on purpose so paler highlights show along the curves. A switch sits on the cord, so you can turn the lamp on and off without reaching for the lampholder. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and weighs 0.423KG packed. Keep it to dry rooms, away from bathrooms and splashing water, as IP20 gives no protection against moisture. The installation instructions come as a PDF download, and with an E14 bulb fitted it is ready to light a quiet corner the same evening.
