Description

The Zero Ellipse is a pendant light in the form of a slim oval ring, finished in black and hung on fine suspension wires. It measures 130cm long and 59cm wide, and the band is only 3cm deep, so it reads as a clean line drawn in the air. Integrated LED runs around the ring behind a white diffuser on its underside, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 47W and gives 4079 lumens with a CRI of 90, which means plenty of light and colours, food and skin tones that look true. It comes in two colour temperatures, 2700K for a warmer, softer white or 3000K for a slightly crisper white, and you choose one when you order.

Its long oval shape suits a dining table well, following the length of the table so light falls evenly from one end to the other. It works just as well over the seating area of a living room, where one wide ring gives a broad, even spread of light rather than a single bright spot. It hangs on a drop of up to 500cm, so it can sit low over a table or higher in a room with a tall ceiling. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The pendant comes without its canopy and needs a Zero Round ceiling canopy, sold separately, to work: the canopy fixes to the ceiling and has a built-in 60W 24V driver for each pendant, which takes power from the mains and feeds the ring at 24V DC. You can choose the single canopy, or one for 2, 3 or 4 pendants if you want to hang several from one canopy, and the canopy is DALI or push dimmable. The pendant is wired in to the mains by an electrician through its canopy, so the pendant and canopy are for a qualified electrician to install.
