Description

A folding bistro chair in iron, 76cm high to the top of the back and 38cm wide. The seat and the back are both built from flat iron bars set with gaps between them. The seat frame is riveted to the back legs and the front legs scissor through it, so the chair folds flat. The iron is left with a rustic, uneven surface in brown, dark in the hollows and worn lighter along the edges.

The seat sits 45cm off the ground and measures 35.5cm by 40.5cm, so it is an upright dining seat rather than one to sit back in, and the chair covers 38cm by 59cm of ground when it is open. Folded, it stands flat against a wall, so a set of them keeps on a balcony as readily as on a terrace. The Ekete iron bistro table is made in two sizes to go with it.

The chair is iron throughout, made by hand, so the surface runs uneven and no two weather alike. It is listed as suitable for outdoor use and rated to hold 60kg, and it weighs 6.1kg itself. There is no cushion or pad with it.
