Description

A set of four champagne flutes in clear glass, each 19cm tall and 6cm across at the widest point of the bowl. The bowl is deep and narrow and tapers to a point above a short plain stem and a round foot. The outside of the bowl is dimpled all over with a hammered texture, which stops about a centimetre below the lip and leaves the rim smooth.

Each glass holds 200ml. At 19cm tall on a bowl 6cm across they stand high on a laid table. Yala runs to wine glasses, tumblers, highballs, gin glasses, a jug and a carafe in the same hammered glass, and to a coupe for anyone who would rather drink champagne from a wide bowl than a narrow one.

The glass is recycled, so the colour carries a faint green cast and the hammering falls a little differently on each one. The foot is a thick disc with a slightly uneven edge. Four glasses come in a set.

Frequently Asked

How many glasses come in a set?

Four.

How big is each glass?

19cm tall and 6cm across the bowl, holding 200ml.

Are they dishwasher safe?

Yes, and they are food safe.

Is the glass recycled?

Yes. The waste glass is collected and washed to remove impurities, then crushed and melted down before it is blown or placed in moulds.

How do these differ from the Yala coupe?

The flute has a tall, narrow bowl. The coupe is a wide, shallow bowl on a short stem, made in the same hammered glass.

How should they be looked after?

Wash them after every use to prevent staining, using a mild detergent, and do not leave them to soak. Handle with care.
