Description

The Knightsbridge wireless doorbell push button is an 88mm x 34mm black polycarbonate transmitter with a circular press button, IP55 weather resistance rating, and a transparent window above the button for an optional door number or name insert. The unit transmits a signal on button press to a paired wireless receiver (sold separately) at distances up to 150-300m depending on building construction and obstacles.

Designed for outdoor installation at front doors, rear doors, gates and entry points, the IP55 rating protects the internal components from dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for use under porch overhangs or on exposed walls where rain and weather are a factor. The push button can be screw-mounted through two fixing holes in the rear casing or attached using double-sided adhesive pads (included) where drilling is not desirable or not permitted.

The unit runs on a single 12V 23A battery (not included) with a power consumption below 10mW, giving extended battery life in typical residential use. The black polycarbonate finish resists UV degradation and provides a neutral appearance that pairs with most door frames and exterior colour schemes. The transparent window above the button accepts a paper or card insert up to approximately 30mm x 20mm for displaying house numbers or names.

Frequently Asked

What receiver does this pair with?

The Knightsbridge wireless bell push pairs with Knightsbridge wireless doorbell receivers sold separately. Check the receiver product listing to confirm compatibility before purchase, as different receiver models support different numbers of paired transmitters.

Is it weatherproof?

The push button carries an IP55 rating, protecting it from dust and low-pressure water jets. This makes it suitable for outdoor use under porch overhangs or on walls with some weather exposure, but not for fully exposed positions subject to heavy rain or direct soaking.

What range does it achieve?

Knightsbridge specifies a range of 150-300m in open air. In typical residential installations with brick or block walls, the effective range is usually 30-80m depending on building construction, wall thickness, and obstacles between the push button and receiver.

How is the battery replaced?

The rear cover slides or clips off to access the battery compartment. The unit requires one 12V 23A battery (not included). Battery life depends on usage frequency but typically lasts 6-12 months in normal residential use.
