Description

The Valentina S/24 is a small pendant light with a shade 24cm across, its rim drawn in a soft wave like the edge of a leaf. The outer shell is light grey and the underside is white, rippled in layered steps, and the structure is white. It is made in aluminium and iron. The light is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change: 6.5W giving 510 lumens of warm white light at 2700K, with a CRI of 90, so food, wood and fabric look true to their colour.

We see it hanging over a dining table, where a single pendant suits a small table and a row of them follows a longer one, or in a living room beside a favourite chair or over a side table. The drop adjusts from 20cm to 200cm, so it can hang low over a table or higher in a room with a tall ceiling. It dims on a compatible TRIAC dimmer, so it can go from bright for a meal to a low glow later in the evening. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The design is by Alex Fernández Camps, who gave the shade its gentle, flowing outline. It comes with a choice of canopy: a surface canopy that sits on the ceiling, or a recessed canopy set into it. The canopy is 11cm in diameter, small and neat on the ceiling. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by an electrician, and it is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earth connection. Before you order, choose the canopy that suits your ceiling and measure from ceiling to tabletop, so your electrician can set the drop at the height you want.
