Description

The Umile is a single pendant with a plump, egg-shaped shade of glass carried on a slim satin gold stem. The diffuser is white acid-etched blown glass, a rounded oval that swells at the shoulder and tapers toward the base, so it reads as a full teardrop rather than a plain ball. Lit, the frosted glass carries a warm even glow across its whole body; unlit, it sits as a soft pale form on a fine brass drop, closed by a small gold tip below.

The glass measures 270mm across, sitting between the wide and the slim Umile forms, with a drop that adjusts from 950mm to 2590mm. Its rounded, tapered shape gives a little more presence than the narrow version while staying restrained, which suits a dining table, an entrance hall or a living room corner, alone or repeated over a longer surface.

The ceiling rose, stem and tip are metal in a satin gold finish, and the diffuser is white acid-etched blown glass. An integrated LED gives 2000 lumens at 3000K warm white and is rated to 30,000 hours, so there is no bulb to buy and it lights the moment it is wired. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.
