Description

The Umile is a single pendant shaped as a tall, slim capsule of glass on a fine satin gold stem. The shade is white acid-etched blown glass, an upright rounded cylinder with softly domed ends, so it stands taller than it is wide and holds the light source out of sight behind the frosted surface. Lit, the long body glows evenly in warm white; unlit, it reads as a slender pale column on a thin brass drop, finished with a small gold tip at the base.

The glass measures 220mm across, the narrowest of the three Umile forms, with a drop that adjusts from 940mm to 2590mm. Its upright, compact shape suits tighter spots such as a bedside, a narrow hall or a run over a kitchen island, and the long adjustment lets a single piece hang low or several sit in a staggered row.

The ceiling rose, stem and tip are metal in a satin gold finish, and the diffuser is white acid-etched blown glass. An integrated LED gives 2000 lumens at 3000K warm white and is rated to 30,000 hours, so there is no bulb to buy and it lights as soon as it is wired. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.
