Description

The Twist is a 41cm sculptural LED pendant formed from a single ribbon of brushed gold metal that spirals through approximately 180 degrees, creating a continuous curved form. An integrated 11W LED sits behind an opal silicone diffuser running the length of the inner curve, casting 800 lumens of 3000K warm white light through the translucent strip. The pendant hangs from a thin matching cable with an adjustable drop between 50cm and 160cm from ceiling to the top of the fitting.

Designed for dining areas, hallways, and double-height stairwells where ceiling height allows a longer drop, the Twist works as a single statement piece or grouped in multiples at staggered heights. The 12cm maximum width keeps the pendant compact enough for positioning over a console table or kitchen island without dominating narrow circulation routes. The cable conceals the electrical run and the brushed gold canopy sits flush to the ceiling rose.

The brushed gold finish sits between polished brass and satin brass in reflectivity — it catches light without creating sharp highlights, and the soft metallic tone pairs with warm greys, deeper charcoals, and cream-toned interiors. The opal diffuser prevents direct LED glare while allowing the spiral form to glow along its inner edge when lit. At 0.53kg the pendant is light enough to fit standard UK ceiling roses without additional structural support.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the metal structure and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours at 3000K — at typical residential use of 3-4 hours per day this equates to around 17-20 years before noticeable degradation.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting has no moisture protection and is suitable only for dry interior rooms. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor locations.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable cable allows a drop of 50-160cm from ceiling to the top of the pendant. With the pendant itself being 41cm tall, the minimum overall requirement is approximately 2.3m ceiling height to avoid head-strike risk in circulation areas. Higher ceilings of 2.7m or above allow the full 160cm drop to be used.

Can multiple pendants be grouped together?

Yes. The compact 12cm width and the lightweight 0.53kg form make it practical to install multiples at staggered heights over a dining table or in a stairwell. Each pendant requires its own ceiling rose and electrical connection — they cannot be daisy-chained from a single outlet.
