Description

The Twist is a 5-light LED bar pendant with five twisted metal drops in brushed gold, each housing an integrated LED module behind an opal silicone diffuser. The 770mm linear bar suspends the five drops at staggered heights between 41cm and 150cm, creating a cascading rhythm across the fitting. Each drop twists in a helical form that catches and reflects light differently as you move around the room.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living room zones, the Twist provides both ambient light and a sculptural focal point. The opal silicone diffusers soften the LED output to a glare-free 3000K warm white, while the brushed gold finish adds warmth without the high reflectivity of polished metal. The 0-10V dimmable LED driver allows the output to be adjusted from full brightness down to a low glow, controlled via a compatible wall dimmer.

The fitting weighs 2.37kg and requires a ceiling rose capable of supporting at least 3kg once the cables and canopy are factored in. The linear bar measures 770mm long by 90mm deep, making it suited to tables or islands between 1.4m and 2m in length. The drop height is adjustable on installation between 55cm minimum and 150cm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set at the appropriate height above the table surface for typical ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m.

Schuller manufactures the Twist in Spain, using metal fabrication for the twisted drop forms and silicone moulding for the diffusers. The brushed gold finish is applied after forming and shows slight tonal variation between individual drops due to the handwork involved in finishing the twisted surfaces. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.

Is the Twist dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED is controlled by a 0-10V dimmable driver included with the fitting. You will need a compatible 0-10V wall dimmer to adjust the output from full brightness down to a low glow.

What table length does it suit?

The 770mm bar length works best over dining tables or kitchen islands between 1.4m and 2m long. For longer tables, consider positioning the pendant over one end or using two fittings spaced along the table.

How is the drop height adjusted?

The cables for each drop can be shortened during installation by feeding the excess back into the ceiling void. The fitting allows adjustment between 55cm minimum and 150cm maximum drop, so you can set the appropriate clearance above your table surface based on your ceiling height.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Twist to dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones or outdoor use.
