Description

The Twig Small Sculptural Vase is a 94cm tall decorative piece constructed from black-painted metal formed into an openwork lattice of interlocking branch shapes. Each twig element is hand-formed by metalworkers using hammering, bending and twisting techniques to create irregular organic profiles that mimic natural wood, then welded into a tapered cylindrical structure. The vase tapers from a 27cm diameter base to 20cm at the top opening.

Designed for console tables, sideboards, floor corners and hallway positions where vertical accent pieces add height without occupying much floor space, the vase works in contemporary, industrial and transitional interiors. The openwork structure means the vase functions as sculpture rather than a functional vessel — dried stems, tall grasses or branches can be inserted through the lattice, but the vase does not hold water and is not food-safe. The matt black finish absorbs light and creates strong shadow patterns on adjacent walls when lit from above or the side.

Each vase weighs 6.2kg, giving it stability on flat surfaces without needing to be weighted or secured. No. The Twig vase is decorative only and not watertight. The openwork lattice structure means water would pass straight through. Dried stems, tall grasses and branches can be inserted through the lattice for display, but fresh flowers requiring water cannot be used.

Is the vase stable on its own?

Yes. At 6.2kg the vase has enough mass to stand upright on flat surfaces without tipping. The 27cm base diameter provides a stable footprint, though the vase should not be placed where it might be knocked by foot traffic or moving furniture.
