Description
Tias is a ceramic vase with a full, round body that rises into a tall, straight neck, finished with a single flat handle running from just below the rim down to the shoulder. It measures 18cm long, 18cm wide and 23cm tall, which makes it a table vase rather than a floor piece: the right size for a sideboard, a bookshelf or a bedside table. The grey surface is mottled with deeper clouds and flecks, so it reads a little differently from every side, and at 2.1KG it has a reassuring weight in the hand.
The narrow neck keeps a few stems upright, so it suits a loose bunch of dried grasses, seed heads or a single branch, an arrangement that needs very little attention once it is in place. Set it on a hall bench beside a stack of books, on a stool in a living room, or at the end of a mantelpiece where it can be seen from more than one side. The muted grey sits comfortably with pale wood, linen, wool and white walls, so it belongs in a calm, pared-back room, while the handle gives it an old-world, rustic character. It also makes a thoughtful gift for someone settling into a new home.
It is made from 100% ceramic, and the finish is matt, the grey broken by darker mottling that gives the surface the look of weathered stone. The handle is a flat strap in the same mottled grey, which keeps the outline simple. As a styling note, we like it in a small group at different heights, with a taller candlestick behind it and a low bowl in front, or standing alone on a stool with two or three tall grasses that echo the long line of its neck.

It is made from 100% ceramic, with a matt grey finish mottled with darker patches, and it weighs 2.1KG.
How big is it?
It is 18cm long, 18cm wide and 23cm tall, a good size for a sideboard, a shelf, a bedside table or a mantelpiece.
What should I put in it?
It suits dried grasses, seed heads and single branches, which its narrow neck keeps upright, and it looks just as good standing empty as a decorative piece.
How many handles does it have?
