Thorpe Metal Hurricane Lantern Medium 53cm - Gold

The open top and 24cm interior width accommodate pillar candles up to approximately 20cm tall and 10cm diameter, or multiple stacked tealights. The glass panels sit approximately 5cm from the base, so shorter candles may need to be raised on a plate or stand to project light through the glass.

Can it be used outdoors?

The iron construction can handle outdoor use in covered areas such as patios and porches, but prolonged exposure to rain or direct moisture will accelerate oxidation and affect the finish. Bring the lantern indoors during wet weather or treat it as a decorative outdoor piece that weathers over time.

How is the finish maintained?

Wipe the iron frame with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. The glass panels can be cleaned with standard glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the metal finish as they may strip the smoky coating and reveal bare iron beneath.
