Description

We stock the Tenity 1m track rail in matt black as the backbone of a recessed track lighting run. It is a length of black aluminium track that sits up inside the ceiling line rather than on the surface, so once it is installed only the narrow aperture and the fitted heads show from below. The rail carries mains power through internal busbars, which means each spotlight or pendant adaptor clipped into it draws power straight from the track with no separate cable drop.

We think of this rail as the piece you build a lighting scheme around, whether that is task lighting over a kitchen worktop, a wash of light down a gallery wall, or flexible display lighting in a shop or office. Because the fittings clip into the aperture, you can position them along the track, slide them to a new spot and angle each head without any rewiring. The matt black finish keeps the track reading as a quiet line in the ceiling and suits contemporary, industrial and minimalist rooms where a white or silver rail would stand out.

This is the 1m length, and you can join several sections end to end with the Tenity connectors to make continuous runs of 2m, 3m or longer. It takes track-mounted spotlights and pendant adaptors from the matching Tenity range, all bought separately, so you can mix directional spots and hanging pendants on the same circuit. As a recessed system it needs a ceiling void deep enough to take the track body and the connectors, so it is best planned in before the ceiling is closed up.
