Description

The Suspiro is a 25cm diameter chrome pendant light with a smoke-gradient blown glass shade housing an integrated 20W LED at 3000K. The outer glass transitions from smoked grey at the top to clear at the base, while an internal opal diffuser sits inside the shade to soften the light before it passes through the gradient glass layers. The chrome aluminium canopy and hardware provide a polished metallic contrast to the softer glass form.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallway positions where a single pendant needs to provide both functional and decorative lighting, the Suspiro's 180cm maximum drop allows installation in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The minimum drop of 45cm suits lower ceiling installations or situations where the pendant needs to sit closer to the ceiling plane. The adjustable cable is set during installation to the required drop length.

The smoke-gradient glass diffuses the warm LED output into a soft ambient glow rather than a focused downlight beam, making the Suspiro more suited to ambient and atmospheric lighting than task lighting. The 20W LED produces 1,200 lumens, which is comparable to a 100W incandescent bulb but with a warmer, more diffused distribution pattern. The chrome finish on the aluminium hardware takes on different tones depending on room lighting, reading as cool silver under daylight and warmer under tungsten or LED room lighting.

At 2.48kg the pendant carries enough mass to hang stably on the adjustable cable without swaying in airflow from open windows or ventilation. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments — the Suspiro is not suitable for bathrooms, covered outdoor areas or any location with moisture or spray exposure.

Is the Suspiro dimmable?

The integrated 20W LED is not stated as dimmable in the specification. If dimmer compatibility is essential, please contact us to confirm before ordering, as dimmer behaviour can vary depending on the specific dimmer model used.

What ceiling height does the Suspiro need?

The pendant has an adjustable drop from 45cm minimum to 180cm maximum. For typical dining table installations the pendant sits 700-800mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The cable is adjusted to the required length during installation and cannot be re-adjusted afterwards without re-wiring.

Can the Suspiro be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only. The pendant is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens directly above hobs or sinks, or any location with moisture or spray exposure.

How is the glass shade cleaned?

The outer blown glass can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth and a glass cleaner suitable for tinted glass. The internal opal diffuser is sealed inside the shade and does not require cleaning in normal use. Avoid using abrasive materials or solvents on the chrome aluminium hardware.
