Description

A feather cushion pad 55cm square and 18cm deep, filled with a mix of duck feather and down and cased in cambric, a cotton weave close enough to slow feathers working their way through it. It is made larger than the cover it goes into, which is what gives a finished cushion a plump face rather than a flat one.

The square is sized for a 50 x 50cm cushion cover, and the 5cm of extra width is what fills the corners out instead of leaving them empty. Eighteen centimetres is a full pad rather than a thin one, so a cover over it stands proud of a sofa back rather than lying against it.

The pads are made in the south west of England. The filling is duck feather and down and the casing is cotton cambric, and every pad in the range is 18cm deep whatever its face measures. A rectangular pad, 65 x 45cm, is made for the 60 x 40cm covers, and there are two further sizes, 70 x 70cm and 40 x 85cm.
