Description
Our snowberry stem is an artificial Christmas stem with clusters of round white berries gathered among its leaves, each leaf dusted with a frost-like finish. Made mainly from polyester and polystyrene, it stands 63cm tall and spreads 24cm across. Several side branches lead off one slender stem, so a single piece reads as a small branch rather than a sprig. At 0.05KG it is very light, so it adds almost nothing to the weight of a slim bud vase or a narrow bottle.
Because it is artificial, it can come out each December and be packed away again once the decorations come down. Stand one alone in a tall bottle on a windowsill, or group a few in a jug on the dining table or a hallway console for a wintry look. Its height suits a mantelpiece, where the berry clusters rise above the cards. Its side branches can be tucked into a wreath base or worked along a garland on a sideboard. The white berries and frosted leaves sit as comfortably in a pale Scandinavian scheme as in a more traditional Christmas room.
The full composition is 40% polyester, 40% polystyrene, 10% polyethylene and 10% iron, and the finish is colour-dyed. Before use, the maker asks that the stem be trimmed and folded into place. Trim it to the height you need, bend the side branches out and settle the leaves and berry clusters where you want them. Go gently while you shape it: the care note asks you to handle it with care to avoid breaking the leaves and flowerheads. For styling, a single stem in a clear glass bottle shows off its whole branching outline, while a few gathered loosely in a wide ceramic jug make a fuller, more natural arrangement.

Frequently Asked
How tall is the snowberry stem?
It stands 63cm tall and spreads 24cm across at its widest, so it suits a tall vase, a bottle or a mantelpiece arrangement.
What is the stem made of?
It is made from 40% polyester, 40% polystyrene, 10% polyethylene and 10% iron, and the finish is colour-dyed.
Does it need any preparation before I use it?
Yes. The maker asks that the stem be trimmed and folded into place before use, so you shape the side branches, leaves and berry clusters yourself.
How should I look after it?
Handle it gently. The care note asks you to take care to avoid breaking the leaves and flowerheads, especially while you fold it into shape.
Is it a real plant?
No. It is an artificial stem with white berry clusters and frosted leaves, so it can be brought out again each Christmas rather than replaced.
How heavy is it?
It weighs 0.05KG, so it is very light and easy to stand in a slim bud vase or a narrow bottle, or to tuck into a wreath.
