Description

The Knightsbridge small cage pendant shade is a 150mm-diameter wire frame in brushed chrome steel, designed to pair with separate vintage-style E27 lamp holders. The cage consists of vertical metal wires forming a rounded cage shape around the bulb, leaving the filament visible through the open frame. The brushed chrome finish provides a subtle metallic accent that works across contemporary, industrial and mid-century interiors.

This shade is sold separately from the lamp holder and bulb, allowing you to choose the fitting and filament style independently. It pairs with Knightsbridge vintage lamp holders in the 8271xx, TRK8271xx and CALLA Vintage ranges, or with compatible E27 pendant fittings from other manufacturers. The 200mm height and 150mm diameter suit single pendants over side tables, grouped clusters over dining tables, and bar or kitchen island installations where exposed-filament bulbs are required but a bare bulb appears too minimal.

The brushed chrome finish softens reflections compared to polished chrome, giving a satin sheen under direct light without creating harsh glare points. The steel wire construction keeps the fitting lightweight at approximately 200g, making it suitable for standard ceiling roses and flex suspensions. The open cage design allows heat to disperse from the bulb freely, avoiding the heat build-up that can occur with closed glass or metal shades.
