Description

This set of three candle holders takes the shape of the classic folk-art horse. Each one is made of polyresin and wollastonite, with a socket set into its back for a slim candle. Each horse is 9.5cm long, 4.5cm wide and 10cm tall, compact enough for a narrow windowsill or a crowded shelf. The three are multicoloured as a set, and each carries its own Christmas motif: a large snowflake flanked by tiny dots and sprigs on the first, a pair of facing birds among hearts and leafy scrolls on the second, and a garland hung with baubles, a star and a woven heart on the third.

We would set them where candlelight counts through the darker months: along a windowsill, down the middle of a dining table, or in a row on a sideboard, where the three read as a little procession. They work together or apart, and one horse on a mantelpiece or a dressing table brings a touch of Christmas to a room that does not need a full display.
