Description

The Knightsbridge SAT TV outlet is an F-type satellite wall outlet with a single coaxial connection for domestic satellite installations requiring bi-directional communication. The polished brass screwless faceplate sits flush against the wall with no visible fixings, and the outlet is configured as non-isolated, meaning the signal path shares a common earth with other outlets on the same distribution network.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and media rooms where satellite receivers connect to a shared dish or LNB distribution system, the outlet fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth. The screwless design uses a cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed faceplates. The built-in gasket around the edge of the plate creates a tight seal against the wall, reducing dust ingress.

The polished brass finish provides a warm metallic accent that pairs well with traditional, heritage and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The faceplate is constructed from 201 stainless steel with a polished brass coating, giving corrosion resistance and durability. The F-type connector accepts standard coaxial satellite cables with threaded F-connectors, and the outlet is certified to BS 5733 for domestic satellite installations. What does non-isolated mean for a satellite outlet?

Non-isolated means the signal path shares a common earth with other outlets on the same satellite distribution network. This configuration works for most domestic installations but may cause interference in systems with multiple receivers if earthing is inconsistent. Isolated outlets are available separately if your installation requires complete signal separation between outlets.

What back box depth is required?

A 25mm minimum back box depth is needed. The outlet projects 11.8mm from the wall once the screwless cover plate is fitted, giving a total installed depth of approximately 37mm from the rear of the back box to the front of the faceplate.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame that's fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the outlet and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring or the F-type connector.
